Institutional Relationships

An institution for heritage work, supported by responsible patronage

Divya India Foundation is being developed as an institution dedicated to cultural research, documentation, preservation, and community-rooted impact.

The Foundation may be connected to related commercial platforms that draw upon experience in areas such as handloom, apparel, and spiritual lifestyle. These platforms are organisationally and functionally distinct from the Foundation.

Their role may include providing experience, networks, visibility, or patronage that can support wider cultural work. However, commercial activity is not the definition of the Foundation’s institutional identity.

We describe this relationship as patronage-driven commerce: responsible commercial activity that can help create resources and attention for cultural preservation while maintaining a clear separation between commerce and non-profit institutional work.

Our principles of separation

  • The Foundation’s cultural mission comes first.
  • Commercial platforms are not presented as the Foundation’s programmes.
  • Foundation initiatives should be communicated independently.
  • Financial and organisational relationships should be disclosed appropriately.
  • Cultural communities and practitioners should not be treated merely as sources of commercial content.
  • Patronage should support dignity, continuity, recognition, and opportunity.

As the Foundation develops, this page will be updated with further information about governance, legal status, funding relationships, and accountability mechanisms.
